TeamGether is a chatbot application developed by EFFENCY and integrated with Microsoft Teams in accordance with Microsoft’s operating requirements: https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/bot-service\/bot-builder-basics?view=azure-bot-service-4.0<\/span><\/p>\n

TeamGether is approved by Microsoft and is available from the Microsoft Teams app store in accordance with Microsoft 365 security and compliance requirements. EFFENCY is a Microsoft-approved publisher.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

II. Permissions Required to Install the TeamGether Application<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFor TeamGether to operate correctly, the application must be installed in each user’s Microsoft Teams workspace.

II.1 Automatic Installation<\/strong>

TeamGether is installed automatically when a user is added to a team in which TeamGether has been deployed. To enable automatic installation, TeamGether must not be blocked by an app permission policy or any other security policy.

Follow the steps below to create a Teams app setup policy and grant a group of users access to TeamGether:

Sign in to the Microsoft Teams admin center: https:\/\/admin.teams.microsoft.com
In the left-hand navigation pane, select “Teams”, then “Manage teams”.
Select “Add” to create a new team for TeamGether users.
If a suitable group already exists, it may be used in step (b) below. Otherwise, create a group as shown in the screenshot below.
Add the users who will use TeamGether to the new team.

Configure the TeamGether application for automatic installation whenever a user is added to the group created above.
Add the group created above to the application configuration.
(Optional) Restrict manual installation of TeamGether.
From the drop-down menu on the right, select who is permitted to install TeamGether manually, in accordance with the organisation’s app permission policy.

II.2 Manual Installation<\/strong><\/p>\n

If users are not permitted to install applications, an authorised IT administrator with the required installation and configuration permissions must install TeamGether for each user, working in coordination with the EFFENCY team.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Customer’s IT department must grant users the permissions required for TeamGether to operate correctly. These permissions allow TeamGether to:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Receive messages and data provided by the user.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Send messages and notifications.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Access profile information, including the user’s name, email address, company name and preferred language.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Receive messages and data provided by team members in a channel.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Send messages and notifications in a channel.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Access team information, including the team name, channel list and members (including their names and email addresses), and use this information to contact them.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
